Default anyone got specs on factory sub?

I've searched for hours and i got exams to study for so I was hoping someone would have a quick answer for this. I'm gutting the stock system and adding an aftermarket head-unit. My plan is for now to remove the stock cd changer and amp and sell them on ebay or something but in the meantime im just going to extend the speaker wires from the stock amp to wire up to the aftermarket head-unit. I realize this will mean no sub so i was going to get a cheap sub amp and just run the stock sub for now but what amp should i use? I have the basic stock stereo in the car so what do i need to push that stock sub? Would a cheap 100w rms amp run it or will i need like a 400-500 watt amp? Has anyone else added an aftermarket amp but kept the stock sub? Thanks guys!

I bet it would run just fine on 40-50 watts RMS. It's a paper sub with a tiny magnet.

I could be mistaken, but do the Mark Levinson and Pioneer subwoofers not have different specs?

well i kept trying to upload a pic but it's not working so... I took a picture and from underneath it says 86160-3a311. Then under that i got ts-0709 zt-02 then the symbol for 2ohms then under that 81789-3004. So 40-50 watts rms any cheap Walmart amp should push that no problem.

400-500w amp , lol.... not on a 40watt woofer.
I have ran the stock pioneer sub on a kicker PX200 @2ohm and it was beautiful..probably around 50 watts to the Woofer..

I was thinking el cheapo on the sub amp because i will probably replace both at some point in the future so i was looking at something like this http://www.neweggbusiness.com/Produc...-cjb2b-VigLink to power the stock amp for now.

I missed the fact that you don't have the Mark Levinson. But that cheap amp should work fine.

Update bought a $30 amp and $10 wiring kit and it pushes it just fine. I think it's a 40watt rms 100watt max amp. It does pop when turning the car off and on and thiers no way to separately adjust just the sub volume but for the price works fine.
