Worth the $$$$? It should be obvious but you must accept that you'll never recover the $$$ put into it.

That said:

1) The car won't shift 1-2 and bangs off the rev-limiter 2-3 if you just stomp it
2) There is no warranty
3) It goes like stink!

If you can live with #2 I think you'll find it worth it. Two problems with #2 (for me). If something breaks it will not be cheap to make it right. I'm not living day to day but 3-5K for a trans or similar or more for an engine (and imagine if they both go) is still a major bummer for me. Then for me I built myself up expecting a bunch of stuff to break (or something) and it hasn't. I accepted that and had fun but after a while you start to wonder just when/if it will break and at this point I'd consider more of a PITA than I would have had it broken early on.to have to fix up a bunch of stuff (or get parts for stuff no longer made). Don't get me started on the wife factor. She understands..... sort of.

Finally to answer your question for me. It has absolutely been worth it. I can't imagine driving a stock car again!

HMMM,
I had the same problem with the rev. limiter with the RMM s/c @ 7lbs and the RMM LSD. I put the OEM gears back in with the torsen style RMM LSD and housing, I havn't hit the rev limiter very much now. However I did burn up 2nd and 3rd gear clutches. 5/30/03 I get my tranny and car back I will have had a clean valve body w/ tighter harder shifts, racing clutches, heavy duty tranny cooler, and the rmm t/c put back in after checked. 13.2- 13.4 all day on 19's.

JCRAMAIR what size pully do you run? I have tried every pully from vortech I live an hour or so from their shop. I have ALL the sizes if you want to play. I found the 2.62" (smallest) to be the best. How many lbs do you run with what pulley size, what dyno???

I have all my numbers it would be interesting. stock pully 3.61" is 4lbs @ 320-335 WHP

I found when you get to the samller pulleys you need to controll timing!! You WILL ping.

My Blitz blow off pulsates form the impeller blades it would be interesting to hear the SRT blow off to see if it is like a turbo swooosh , I would rather have that. IMO

PS I can never drive stock again.......until the 2004 //M5 V-10 @ 7000rpms 550HP stock and 3700lb curb wt. 6.77 power : wt ratio HMMM viper is 6.8

Yeah, I have been in this game long enough to know that I will never re coup the money that I drop on my ride. Worth it to me is being happy with the outcome, HP, driveability, etc.. Im not so worried about the warranty issue as I am being satisfied with the gain to money ratio.

I think I follow you points though, I appreciate the pro's and con's that you guys have threw out there. I think IM gonna have to go for it.

Thanks

I guess my point was the two are related. If I had to spend another 10-15K because a bunch of stuff broke I don't think I'd be satisfied with the gain to money ratio.

Good luck!

Ahhhh, OK, now I see what you were saying. Good point! It sounds like you have been lucky enough not to do so thus far.
