Default Where can I get an upgraded torque converter?

I called SRT but Mo told me they don't sell them anymore. I googled for anyone else that may carry one but it only lead me to threads here on CL and other forums.

Lextreme does rebuilds of OEM torque converters to the stall speed you specify. You can even buy em on fleabay.

if you're on a budget, look into PI TC. Or if you want a solid built TC, call up Nero over at titan motorsport and he'll get you sorted out. Titan's TC has shown to have less parasitic hp lose over the PI converter. I gained 47rwhp just from switching the TC on my supra.

this is only for high powered cars right? I've read up on them and seems like you lose power at lower rpm but gain it later. It's weird, I tried to find explainations for it but currently nothing yet. Just curious how they differentiate themself between PI.

I'm not sure what you mean by high power cars. But most of the TT supra's have around 380rwhp for stock BPU. But obviously, when you make more power, you'll see the margin to squeeze out that extra power grow larger. From what I'm told from Nero, there converter robs less power due to the redesign of the fins in the TC.

Lextreme (a sponsor here) sells re-built / built-up high-stall converters. I think David is the guy's name to contact. These are a little heavier than the PI converter, but are also less expensive.

Performance Industries ("PI") is what a lot of people went with when these first came out from what I gather. Strong, but there's a thread or two lurking around here about a couple guys that had an issue with theirs. These are a few hundred dollars more than the Lextreme converter.
