Question Anyone here supercharged? Torque converted?

On my initial post I asked this but it went off-topic lol

If there is what kind of numbers you getting?

Edit: I was looking at swiftracing.com and noticed they claim that their torque converter knocks 0.5 to 0.75 seconds off the 0-60 of the GS4. Is this accurate?

Hodgepodge.

Answers might stay on topic if you ask different questions in separate posts .

Yes, several people on CL have supercharged GSs, also a couple of TT's. I'll let them speak up. Mostly SRT SC's and a couple of RMMs.

The SRT TC is made by Precision Industries and is a great unit (I have one). It is IMO the best bang for the buck performance mod. However, I think those performance claims are a bit on the high side.

For answers to BOTH of these questions, I suggest you try using the big search box at the top of the page. Put in "supercharge" and point it a the GS forum. Do the same thing for 'torque converter'. You'll get a wealth of information back immediately without waiting for people to reply to your posts.

I had the SRT Stage 2.5 supercharger kit, and now have the Twin Turbo kit. (if you look at my sig, you can see my mods) It is true that the torque convertor will shorten your 0-60mph times, and I definitely could tell the difference after getting it installed ( you WILL smoke your tires from a stop! , and when your tires hook up! ) I have yet to hear of someone not liking the TQ power from the SRT TC. As DaveGS4 said, it is one of the few "bang for buck" performance mods that you can get, and enjoy the benefits immediately.

I currently run a Vortech RMM Supercharger and love it. I also have the Torque Converter and that with the charger is pure power. For pics visit my cars link. I think the #'s you posted just on the Converter are a little high. IMHO

Hey jcramair1, have you dynoed your car yet? What numbers is it putting out (rwhp and quarter mile times plus 0-60 times)?

I am dying to know the performance increases over a stock GS.....

I ran the car at the track last weekend, the weather was about 50-55 on 19" wheels I went 13.4@104. Not bad considering I could not hook up the tires at all. I will be putting a smaller pulley on the car in 2 weeks with a Blow off valve, I'll see what happens the.

Don't know how I missed this first time around.

In any case: Do you have any problems with shifting? Even with the valve body work done I can't get the 1-2 shifts to happen unless I let off and the 2-3 will bang the limiter (rather not do that) unless I let off too.

Curious because I'd like to get fix once and for all.

There's a chance that I could be wrong, but I'm nearly positive that superchargers don't use blow off valves... only turbos.

For you guys that have done it, would you still do it if you had a chance to turbn back the clock? Do you feel that the HP gains are worth the $$$$? Im seriously contimplating doing this during the summer, I just dont want to be let down 7 grand or so later.
