Door locks when put into drive.
I have tried that one and it's not the same. It works, but locks up frequently. The most visible difference between that model and the one from gearbest is the screws. The Amazon one uses phillips where the gearbest one uses hex.
On the note of techstream, it's fairly cheap. $15 for a 2 day license from Toyota:

Thanks,
Also can you confirm that gear best cable can program 98-05 cars?
I can confirm it works on my 2000 GS300. I changed CBEST settings, ran some of the diagnostic tests and played with the live graphs.
48 hours with techstream is more than enough. After getting all the settings the way I wanted I haven't needed to touch it since.

Nice. I thought it was a dealer only thing to change c-best setting. I'm going to also buy this thing, it comes with a software CD to have the module on your computer. Do you know if I can program 2 new Lexus OEM master keys? Should be able to right?

I have no idea, never tried it but in theory it should. Keep in mind that the CD it comes with is one of those stupid mini CD-R's so a slot loading CD drive wont work. You'll need a regular CD drive to get the drivers onto your computer.
For some reason though Techstream freezes a lot on his car, but it works fine on every other car I've used it on (ES300, ES330, Sienna, Solara, Rav4).
Here's a demo video I did:
To program new master keys on the GS, you can use techstream, but you can also do it manually, which I did here:
The CD that came with it is a joke. It was corrupted. Technically it is an illegal copy of Techstream.
Is there a way to silence the beep when I use the remote to unlock the doors? All I see are different volume levels, but even the lowest is louder than I'd like. I often leave the house very early in the morning and don't want to annoy the neighbors. Is there an option for a silent remote unlock function?
I bought a techstream cable from eBay. I was able to pull up the menu for auto-locks on my brother's 2000 GS300, so the option is available.
