Default I need help r

hey guys well i need help with a descion i recently got a 1998 lexus gs400 but i took it to a mechanic and turns out it has hella problems with the suspension stuff i was wondering if you guys think its worth fixing it or nah it needs new front rotors and pads control arms both sides,ball bearings both sides,and knuckles both sides and other things i think the car has 117865 miles on it and the front seats are ripped as **** and paint is bad but motor feels strong doesnt missfire i want it for myself and i know i got burnt but is it worth fixing or am i better off selling it ans saving my money for another one ?and if its better off fixing does anyone know any sites i can get parts cheap thank you in advance guys

Anytime you buy a car you should research its potential problems and then go on the testdrive looking out for them. Sorry man u hosed yourself. If you're not Into working on cars this car will get really expensive really fast. My advice would be to do the Ball joints and then just drive it into the ground.

well yeah i know i messed myself over really bad but ima just fix it up as a project car because i can bearly drive it i need sooo many parts and its hard to find them i need lower control arms both i already got the top ones and i needa find this other part thats pretty rare to find the whole front suspension is shot and its like i dont wanna sell it because i already got money into it and i know if i sell it ima loose a lot of cash

Try searching for parts on Rockauto. Some of my OEM parts came from them, they also have lots of cheap and reman. parts. Partsgeek is good with some OEM and "other" parts as well, but aren't to cheap. No free shipping unless you purchase above a certain price. Have you tried Ebay? You gotta search around the net for the best prices though.

I also changed a whole mess of suspension/steering components when I first bought mines. Good luck.

Fortunately, there are a lot of threads on here that make all of the jobs the car needs "DIY" able. Visit your local junkyard or hop onto RockAuto/eBay etc.

Thank you bro sorry i took long to reply forgot about the post i got my suspension fixed and now im just fixing oil leaks its been costing me an arm and a leg but things are slowly getting done today valve covers were done
