You could just buy a trunk with no spoiler and then sell your trunk with the spoiler. What color is your car? There is a wingless trunk in the classifieds right now.

This has been covered many times over the years, maybe not a pure DIY, but what's left to be filled in after you remove it has been documented. The advanced search usually works pretty well for me if you haven't tried that. Long story short, from what i remember there's 4 or 5 holes, at least one of them is large enough that it'll need a patch welded in. If you can't weld you're gonna need a professional.

You could always trade the whole trunk lid with someone with a plain trunk or buy one on eBay not that expensive, I wish mine had a spoiler

you didn't search at all if you can't find anything here, use google and you will find the subject.

What color is your car? I'm swapping my black trunk with spoiler for one without real soon, would have the trunk with spoiler available.

Kyle, is your spoiler factory or aftermarket? I have aftermarket, but I'm looking to change my led light. I've been told that the models with factory spoiler, there is an actual plug for the spoiler led light, whereas the aftermarket is spliced "somewhere". If you have the aftermarket, do you mind telling me where your light was spliced at. I tried to find it on my car, but didn't have any luck. Maybe I need to take trunk liner out to really see it?

What did u search? Front bumper removal?

Rear spoilers a pita to take off. There's Rivet and metal brackets under and even if you get those off you are left with holes to fill. I just bought another trunk wasn't worth all the trouble removing it and then welding and painting

Your best bet is buying another trunk without the spoiler and just selling yours. You will end up getting more than you even paid.

Mine is factory, I would have to assume an aftermarket one would be spliced into the wiring for the factory third brake light on the rear deck so I'd look in that area first.

Just swapped to the wingless trunk earlier tonight, between that and the new wheels the car looks so different from what I've been used to seeing the last 6 years!

For those who've gone wingless, do you just go without a third brake light? I hesitate to put an Oem one on my rear deck as my sub fires through the stock sub hole and I have a feeling it'll rattle like a sob. We don't have inspections and I doubt the cops around here would notice there isn't one but it is a little bit of a safety issue, think it'll be the way I end up going though.

If you have a Gs300 who cares delete it. But it will take some work and a decent amount of body work. If you have a 400/430 I'd keep it for resale reasons. Last thing you want to do is drop the value of your car. Buyers outside the mod scene will look for the oem wing on a 400/430.

I'm surprised you would want to remove a factory rear spoiler. I think they look fantastic on the GS. There are cars that look tacky with a spoiler, the GS is one that looks better with the factory spoiler than without in my opinion.

Best approach would be to have a body-shop properly remove the spoiler, fill in the hoes with new metal and repaint.
