My 02 GS300 is throwing 420 and 430 codes, had the O2 senors checked and they seem to be working ok, is there a good source for a cheap CA legal aftermarket Catalytic Converter?
You should be able to pickup some aftermarket OE replacements from either RockAuto or ebay for cheap... I think I paid somewhere in the neighborhood of $250~ish for my pair from a seller on ebay.
there is a seller from Canada on ebay that sells OEM cats for $300 each Brand New..you just have to catch him/her when they restock, cause they go quick.. Other than that aftermarket has a short life expectancy..your other choice is a O2 simulator chip
I have the cats. Let me know which one u need. The one after the manifold or the one in the down pipe
If u have parts I'm definitely in need of some. Right hub assembly gs300 93 and heater control valve. Let me know what you have available. Also I need a cat converter after the manifold.
Any cat, new or used, will be expensive. I'd verify with actual readings from good code reader of O2 sensor data to verify need. Perhaps, an emissions test result? And, know that even used-up cats have good residual value. Its kinda a walk on the wild side here in Akron, but you'd be surprised at how much one will bring at junk yard. I'm local to Summit Racing and bought direct fit Magnaflow for Jeep, even though it was passing emissions (baffles had broken off from age inside).
