Default Programing Remote Trunk/door Locks

I HAVE A GS300 1998 WITH ONLY 1 MASTER KEY. I GOING TO BUY ANOTHER ONE AT LEXUS-PARTS.COM.(EXCELLENT DEAL). FOUND LOTS OF INFO ON PROGRAMING TRANSPONDER. DOES ANYONE HAVE INFO ON PROGRAMING TRUNK/DOOR LOCK BUTTONS ON MASTER KEY.

I hope this attachment works so you can download it. One pdf is for programming the key and another pdf for the remote programming.

Enjoy.

Hi Lexus4ever,

Do you know how to reprogram the remote control so that (I have a 99 GS400) I just have to click the unlock button once to open all 4 doors and chirp twice and the chirp be louder?

Do I have to go the dealer to get this done?

Thanks!

The dealer has to program those settings in your car computer. Seach for 'c-best' or 'cbest' settings and you can get a list that you can have the dealer set for your car.

Can someone confirm that the key programming method in the wireless.zip file works? I've tried several times with no success.

I have the original key and have an additional key which opens the locks but only makes the starter turn over, not start. The key is not the remote kind. I want to register it in case I lose the one key I have to start the car.

Hey NoRyce, thanks for the reply. Do you still have the instructions to program the key? I'd like to see those.

oh youre lucky, i found the paper copy in one of my folders.

To add duplicate key:
1. Simultaneously depress and release brake and accelerator pedals 1 time.
2. Insert existing master key into ignition.
3. Within 15 seconds depress and release accelerator pedal 5 times.
4. Within 20 seconds depress and release the brake pedal 6 times and remove key.
5. Within 10 seconds insert new key into ignition.
6. Within 10 seconds depress and release the accelerator pedal 1 time.
7. After 80 seconds the new key is registered and the security light goes off.
8. Remove new key and dpress and release brake pedal 1 time.
