2002 GS300 Heater Problem
Hey all,
I need some help with my friend's 2002 GS300 heater. It has 170K miles
Problem is that the heat is only working on the passenger side and not the driver side.
I did some research and read about the servo motors for the driver side. We got it out and it seems to be working perfectly. It moves as you change the temperature for the driver side.
I tried to move the white arm by hand and still the air coming from the driver side is lukewarm at best. It is definitely no where near 85 when we set the climate control.
Now the A/C will work on both sides with no problem and the heater is working great on the passenger side.
My next step is to check the other 3 servos on the passenger side to confirm they are all working.
More info about the car:
170K miles
Radiator + thermostat replaced
We flushed the coolant last week and will do so again this Monday
Both heater core hoses near the firewall are hot
If you need anything else please let me know.
Can anybody help with any advice or what should we do next?
Thanks in advance!

Accessing Driver Side Servos
I'm having the exact problem(s) mentioned here, although I believe the Mode servo is working as I can direct air to the various vents. Interestingly, if I don't run the fan, and have the air set for 'Fresh', I do get a little bit of hot air entering the cabin.
I've found videos about removing the glove box to access those two servo motors, but how do I access the driver side servo motor. I've removed a couple of screws and about three nuts in the panel beneath the steering column, but the panel(s) are not coming off.
Thanks,
Dale

I am having a similar problem in my 2001, i.e., All sides. Servos are fine as air is blowing on all vents on all settings, but its COLD. Just got this old car, so it is all new to me! I was thinking of starting with T'stat, but if there isa simpler fix to look at first, I would appreciate some suggestions.
Thanks
Doug

I know it's been some time, but were you able to open the driver side to re place those servos?
are there any on the drivers side?
is this an easy to moderate job for a newbie to do?
Thank you for your time
