Hey guys,
I have a dent in my fender that I'm trying to get out. Can anyone give me any hints of what I can do myself to get it out without having to go to a shop? I tried putting a screwdriver on the back to pop it out, no go.

Any ideas will be welcomed!

 

Since its already Fd up..and you dont want to take it to get it properly fixed.. You can use ur Leg, a hammer, torch, 2x4 pretty much anything

 

As bad as that looks, you should just replace it...

 

that's what I was thinking. I just don't feel like painting a new one. Although, I am painting my bumper so I can do it at the same time anyhow.

 

Looks like you're past the point of no return on this one.

 

im sorry to be the bearer of bad news but u using the screwdriver messed it up 10x more..i can see like 30 little mini stab dents from the screwdriver you tried to use.

 

lol what made you use a screwdriver instead of a round tip hammer and a block of wood that's wrapped in a hot towel??

 

Agreed! A paintless dent repair guy could have easily fixed it for $100. I've had then fix worse. Now, it's replacement time. Those little reverse dimples will wear through with a grinder, so the body shop can't use that, and the metal is now stretched and can't be "shrunk" back! that's a double

 

That fender is toast, look for Aliga on here for a replacement.. or cop one off ebay for $125 if you can't pay the OEM price.

 

Have you ever seen the back of the fender? It has bracing on the back side which makes it hard to do that.

I've been looking around. I found one for close to what you're saying, Rockauto was around that price.

 

Like I said Aliga is the man to ask for parts. but that is up to you. there's another guy on CL too that has partouts, but I can't recall his name.

O.P. I think you should remove "show car" from your sig if you're that hesitant to repair your fender the right way.
