I have a 98 GS400. I know power mode changes the shift points but I swear it rides firmer in power mode than normal mode. In normal mode it seems softer and smoother. Am I wrong?
Another thing, when in power mode and I come to a stop I always hear a noise from the engine or the front of the car to the effect that something is going back into place. Its a 3 second humm then a click. This happens every time in power mode and never happens in normal mode. It is not a fault of some kind but rather like the car is supposed to do that.
What is that? Is it something the ect controls? I know the mercedes have a variable suspension button on their s class. Does the GS400 have something similar hidden under their sheetmetal?
