How does the power etc button work? I can't feel the difference in my 98 GS300. Is there a problem with my button? Should I be able to feel the difference? Please help!!

Power button allows engine to go to higher rpms before shifting up, and lets the transmission shift down more easily. I leave my car in PWR mode all the time because the normal mode doesn't shift out of 5th easy enough.

Totally agreed, you have to go real deep in the throttle to get it to d-shift in normal mode.....I just leave it in pwr mode as well.....Also, I feel like the car doesnt go up through the gears so quickly (like a 5 speed auto tries to do). It holds on to the gear a little better even at lower rpm, giving you a little more time to decide if you need more throttle before it just decides for you....next thing you know your in 5th at 30mph....That frustrates me at times...Tiny

tiny, even in power mode it goes to 5th too easy. Some days I drive in M4 instead, which is kinda nice.
