Default Best Led Tail Light

I'm not really down with dropping a G on JP tail lights but don't want some cheezy looking ebay altezza either for my 03 gs430. Who makes a good looking led tail light or regular tails similar to the JP one's with the clear bottom?

you wont get Jp's for under $1k anyways....my non LED JP's used were $500+ and i got them on the low low from a old member as they were minutely damaged. Their tails are like $1500 new last time i checked

Looked at the one's from coco on ebay. They look nice so I picked them up. Any issues with installing these for you 01+ GS guys?

The most pita thing is removing the linear. After that I believe it's 4 10mm nuts. Everything was plug and play. You WILL set off the light in the interior and DON'T use the resistors they produce a lot of heat and are not recommended by many members here on the forum. If you had OCD as I do, take apart the dash and remove that bulb

So what your saying that without the resistors connected it will set off the light on the dash. With the resistor connected it will not set off the light but they cause too much heat?

correct

ennough heat to burn through the carpet if you aren't careful where you mount it (still not recommended to run them anyways)

I might just remove the guage cluster and remove the indicator bulb instead. Has anyone done this? How difficult is it to remove the cluster?

If you also need the install for the LEDS (pretty much straight forward) here you go

I got mine online as well, I believe they are by option auto or some clone of them. These came with the resistor and i put the resistor behind the bumper so it gets some airflow. I've had them for almost 2 yrs with no outages, dead LED's or resistor burning through my bumpers. I bought the "red out" film because i did not like how much of the clear shone through at the bottom. I'll post pics them i do the mod.
Pic is from ebay
