Default need help....Key Fob replacement

Need some help. I just picked up a GS300 and the owner gave me 2 keys, one with the lock, unlock, and trunk features. The key works great but the fob is taped up and doesn't work. Am I able to purchase another key case with the buttons and install my key for it to work or is there more that needs to be done.

Thanks.

The casing in the key simple holds the remote buttons (self contained) in place. If your fob works transfer the new key shell over and you are done.

If you need a brand new key you can order from Sewell they cut it to your vin too. Then use master key to program new key.

They use the short blade. The part inside the FOB that keeps the key attached broke which caused the key to "flex" when turning the vehicle on. I used some JB Weld for the meantime and will move FOB guts to the new case and have it rekeyed. Anyone know how much Toyota/Lexus charges to rekey?
