Red face Should I buy newer?

Hello I am looking for some wiae advise.

I have 2001 GS430. In great shape- 177700 miles. Has a small leak that needs attention.
Paid off thank God- been offered a lot of offers to upgrade to Gen 4 (GS350)
Love my car- should I think about upgrading? How long will mine last me?

If your doing all the necessary maintenance the car should be fine. Tune ups water pumps timing belt should be in the very very near future for you.

if you do have $ to spend trade for 4gs (new car, great interior and ride), but if you dont wana spend that kind of $ than keep maintenance and you gs will be good for next 170k or more

If you got the dough, step up to a new car, If not, then stick with the GS4 and deal with the small repairs. Should last you a lot of more miles. Down with car notes.

Theres been a quite a few 400/430's that reach 300K+ mark if well-maintenanced, so you're about at half-life. Just fix the leak if its the only problem. Make sure its fixed right. Try not to Cheap out on the maintenance because this car will literally easily go 300-400K miles if taken cared for..

I wouldnt take new car payments over fixing a simple leak... Fix it and save ur money. This leak is nothing compared to the thousands ur considering. If u just want a new car thats a diff story.

1) It's paid off
2) you love the car
3) IT'S PAID OFF

With those 3 reasons (well, 2 really, lol) I'd fix it and you should be good to go for another 100k at least. I wouldn't say the same about any other car tho.

It's paid off! There, I've said it. Ha, Seriously, your car will very likely go a long, long time. Personally, I think the Gen 2 cars have better quality interior materials than the newer ones.
How about get all the maintenace done, stock up on some front suspension items (ball-joints, tie rods, bushings) spend a little on a refresh (rock chips, new headlights) maybe some nice wheels and drive a great car for at least 6-7 more years, without a payment. I also think these cars get better looking every year in comparison to the new stuff.
