Default Help ! Paint window visors !!

Hey club lexus! i just bought some jdm window visors. im trying to get them painted. i have seen some guys on the forums that has them painted. i went to the paint shop and ask if they could paint it for me and they said they could paint it but its not guaranteed and that it can crack easily . i was wondering is there anything i can use or put on the visors so it wont crack. thanks

If they're prepped properly, its not gonna stick. gotta clean the hell out of them, sand them real good to make a rough surface for the paint to stick to. Most importantly, must use adhesive promoter, that will help the paint to stick. My other car I painted the interior pieces, they too said that it would crack... Never did.

Clean and prep them real good and use bulldog adhesion promoter and you should be fine.

thanks for the quick response guys. so pretty much i would sand and clean my visors spray the bull dog promoter on then paint ? is there a diy thread

did you buy your visors off of another person on the forum? i saw your WTB thread that's why and I''m looking for a set of visors as well.

@frshhhh : yeah i sure did he sold them to be brand new. shipped for 140. I believe carston toyota sells them for 160 you can ask how much shipping is. but give it a shot.

i bought mine used and had a body shop i always go to and it came out flawless and its been over a year and absolutly no complaints
