I changed the new alternator on the 05 lexus es330. Soon after, the lock button on the key stops working. The light still blinks red on the key when you press the lock. it also makes sounds that is communicating with the car but won't process to make it lock. Because of this issue, it also causes the car to think the doors are still open when all doors are closed. the door sensors on the car has no issue.

How can I fix the lock button on the key fob?

I figured it out it is not the key fob. We checked the doors. The door sensor works just find but the dash board says the doors are open. What other issue?
