Possible BMC problem?
98 GS300 with 143,000 miles. I just purchased in April and love the car. Unfortunatly, had to do some repairs so far. Ever since I got the car the brakes have had a squishy feel to them which means I have to apply more pressure to stop.. The BMC (brake master cyliner) also makes a buzz (electronic pumping) noise from time to time when stopping. I replaced the passenger side ball joint, tie rod end, and caliper. The ball joint was bad and making erk noises.. The car rides so much better but the brakes seem to still have the squishy issue. From what I read it appears the BMC is a common issue in the 98 to 00 models. MY QUESTION is that has anyone else experienced a similar issue? I have no VSC / ABS lights coming on. The MBC is a all in one unit and the price for the part is rediculous. I am hoping maybe air is in the brake line but I am going to assume that is not issue. I would appreciate any feed back..
