I would just use the pipe, air will flow better thru the steel pipe than the stock rubber pipe. Don't bother with the filer, it's probably crap.

He won't sell the pipe separately I asked him a while ago.

Ah so you've seen this too

Yeah, I was thinking this. was just worried about fitting of sensors and stuff because the air intake on the GS is BIIIIG!! and looks complicated. Ah what the hell, I'm gunna buy it and a decent cone filter and see what its like.

I suppose the length of the pipe will have to be right otherwise its just gunna be sat in the middle of a warm engine bay!?

The pipe itself looks decent and seems to have the necessary fittings for hoses and the MAF sensor. So you should not have any issues fitting it. The filter will sit where the original filter&box is sitting.

Heatsoak will still be an issue as the filter is sitting under the hood and takes its air from under there.

I am not sure how much power there is to gain. Yes, it'll flow better, but the gains from flow will be offset by a higher intake air temperature.

If it is indeed aluminum as stated, than it shouldn't be a problem.

Is this for a 300 or 400? If its 300 make sure you ask pipe size I think 2.5" won't throw cel anything bigger it will. Just check in the is300 section and look for injen intakes thats where I bought mines
