Default Cone filter + stock plastic intake pipe

I need to replace my stock air filter soon, and before i buy a K&N drop in I have a quick question. On my previouse vehicle (evo 8) I had a Amsoil cone filter and vibrant adapter attached to my stock intake pipe. Has any attached a cone filter to their stock intake pipe on their isx50? If so, what size cone filter will I need and or adapters? If this hasnt been done, what do you think the pros/cons would be for this setup. Thanks

Cons: you'll be sucking hot air through your unshielded cone intake into an engine that already gets more air than it needs from the stock setup.

Pros: Uh...it'll be louder? Not a pro for me but it seems to be for some.
