Default GS Tein

I have a Tein Flex and had been using uit for over 10 years. The kit has help really well as I took it in to tein to get a quote on a rebuild. My question is.... at a cost of about $1,000 to rebuld completely, is this a better choice than sourcing a new one, which I understand they run about $1500. Next question, is this the best kit for daily city driving for full height adjustment and comfort? I have always been happy with the kit since new, although last couple of years, have been in need of a rebuild. They were never blown, so the Tein guy was surprised I had them on so long and never had issues.

Thanks,
Rock

Honestly I currently run the same setup. I'm very satisfied and would be very hard for me to go with another brand. I would pay the extra $500 for a new setup and sell your used ones.

The best comfort coils from Tein is Comfort Sport version 1 and version 2 the only difference version 1 go lower then 2, this suspension much better then stock plus u have 16 way adjustments for soft/stiff

Yeah...im surprised your Tein Flex didn't blow yet....daily driver?

Maybe it was meant to blow...eventually....lol.

My Tein CS v1 blew on me...and rather than sending it back to Japan to rebuild, I just bought another brand coilovers. Personally, I would not buy Tein again.

Spring rates are available online...check the Tein USA site....its all there. Off the top of my head though...I think the CS spring rates are 9 front / 8 rear....or something like that.

What coils did you switch too? I'm running Tein CS, how do you know when one gives out? At how many miles did it give out?

anyone else had problems with their Tein CS V2 being too soft over bumps and causing wheel rub. Even the hardest setting doesnt feel stiff enough to me. Anyone know how the Flex compares stiffness wise? Looking to upgrade to stiffer coils.

have comfort sport v1 ( they go lower than the v2's) and they definitely are way too soft over bumps and dips
