Default speaker sound ???

got a 04 with ML system.. unplugged sub due to being blown. Today i steped in the car and it just doesnt sound right.. so i checked front and back speakers through the F/r l/r balance levels and i noticed the rear door speakers dont carry any base... I dont know if im just tripping or is my stock amp out. The front speakers sound good. lmk what you guys think. thanks.

I have an 02 and my rears don't play any bass either. I think it's the way the system is designed.

what are you talking about midbass? because the sub creates the bass, not the rear door speakers.

Rear door speakers are weak and small, they wont produce bass like the fronts.

you don't need a new system, just replace the blown sub. door speakers aren't meant to supply your sub-bass.

On another note, I'm glad I just got my bass back. I have a 500 watt rms amp on a kenwood 10" running free air in the stock location. Took a while to find the kenwood, my rear deck didn't like the 35 pound rockford hx2 hanging back there.
