Default Rear deck speakers dont work

So I have an 01 UL with ML audio. All of the speakers work other than on the rear deck, no sound at all.

it weird to me that it's just those, could it be the amp, or just that those speakers may be blown? I never noticed until now, when i turned it up, just no sound.

help?

So the rear deck, only has the subwoofer installed and the normal full range speakers are mounted in the doors. If you're not getting any low frequency sound, then no doubt you're subwoofer is blown, or at the very least the speaker surround has deteriorated.

Are you getting sound from the door mounted speakers?

wait, so there's only the sub back there? What are the other 2 grills on the rear deck? And yes the door speakers work.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe in the UL trim those are exhaust vents for the rear A/C.

I had a feeling that might be something else, but they look like speaker grills...

With the UL package, the 2 grilles to the left and right of the subwoofer are air intake grilles for the rear optical (UV) air purifier system and rear AC. Turn your rear air on max fan speed and you will feel the air movement.
