Default HIGHLY recommended headlight DIY kit!!!!

First off let me say I have tried EVERYTHING to get my headlights to look new, my one was fogged up so bad you couldn't even see what was inside the housing, and on top of that I had DEEP scratches in my lens really bad, I went to wal Mart last night just to see if I could find something new, and I came across this:

http://m.advanceautoparts.com/mt/sho...110944&ci_sku=

It rained about 20 minutes after I did my headlights and off and on for a while, this kit is AMAZING!!! My headlight looks like they came off the showroom floor! Unreal I am so happy with a product for your headlights that actually works! FINALLY, guys go get this ASAP!!!

Or you can just buff them like a normal person.

1000 grit wet/dry
1500 wet/dry
2000 wet/dry

your choice 2/ stage polish/wax/sealer

Lets see some before and afters......

Ive tried all that, how is this not normal? Lol it comes with sandpaper like all the other kits, but it's the sealer that actually is the best I've ever used, just trying to help some people out , I didn't have to post this, always got a smartass on here... it only took me 15 minutes DONE... Nothing works like this, no the pics are on my iPhone and the results are incredible...

Sounds like snake oil..not trying to be a smart *** but without physically removeing a layer of oxidation/plastic you cannot restore clarity. Magic potion or not.

lets see some pics dude!

You can always upload with imageshack with your phone's browser, then copy and paste the URL. Its a lot of steps for some non-geeks lol.
I used meguiars PlastX on my sisters cars, it works wonders. Make sure you buy some sort of sealer to make sure it lasts.

I just use a polishing compound, works great. For severe case like my Buick I used the sandpaper method as well as a air polisher I picked up. Make the work much easier.

Totally not snake oil. I have been using Crystal View for years, and it works as described. If you read what the OP posted and his reply, it does, in fact, remove a very slight layer of the plastic when you sand it. You then buff it, then seal it with their patented UV sealer. Lifetime warranty, and the results are absolutely stunning.

When I was running my shop, I would test products that came out to see if they were more effective and/or less expensive for the time spent. Nothing beat the Crystal View kits, since they come complete and don't require any other equipment. If you want to, however, a buffing pad and a polisher (or even a drill, if in a pinch) can help the time.

I've used it on lights that were anywhere between 3 - 10 years old, and if you follow the directions, the kit is worth every penny - especially with a lifetime warranty.
