Since this thread seems to be a newbie-friendly suspension Q&A, I'll ask for some help.
I am planning to change the rear struts on my '00 GS400 using the DIY posted on this forum. The fronts are only 2 years old, but the rear struts have 110k miles on them. The rear of the car fails the bounce test and you can feel the bumps in the road much more when sitting in the back of the car vs in the driver's seat.
I want to keep everything stock, so I need the two new rear struts from Sewell (part no. 48530 and 48540). What else in this diagram should I consider replacing while I'm in there? http://lexus.sewellparts.com/oem-cat...S400-2000.html
Thanks in advance, guys, since this forum has already saved me much time and money.

Not saying any i listed above is crap cause its not i just personally prefer to put that potential liability on the merchant/supplier that i can stand infront of and not through email.
They are great shocks and i recommend them i just wouldn't ebay them.

Once you sign up with you Club Lexus username/email, Sewell offers rear struts for $73.56 each. A good price for sure.
Thing is, I'm still not sure if I should be replacing any other parts at the same time. For instance, should I re-use the old shock absorber cushions, or not?

I would just purchase Bilsteins from Autozone, that way if they ever blow you can just exchange them with no hassle or shipping. After looking around for several weeks, it seems like autozone had the best price on them anyway.

I have KYB struts and Eibach Lowering springs....
It rides kind of rough here in the city... It feels like the car hits bumps heavier ... I'm not sure how to explain it. but it rides kind of harsh. I'm not sure if that's standard for KYB's. But the struts only have a couple thousand miles on em and I bought em brand new.
So you guys think I should go back to stock? Change some other components? Or even should I go to something stiffer? It feels like there is a lot of bounce in the wheels.
