Exclamation Help from the experienced

So guys, i have a problem on my hand, I'm a college student, and I'vehad my 99 gs300 for about 4 years, and it's climbed up to 174,xxx and going up because it's my everyday car. Now comes the problem engine wise the car is perfect, I recently did a full tune up, body wise theres two rust spots, but that came with the car (from parents), and finally suspension......in past year, I've replaced the passenger control up twice, and it's making a clunking noise, personally sounds like the bushing is worn when i just replaced it about 2 weeks ago for the second time in the year. When it's cold outside (30's-40's) when i turn the wheel, you can hear a real loud squeaky sound from the passenger side. When driving even down a smooth road your able to hear it. Plus the castor arm, i've replaced last year. Basically I'm going to replace both, but it's driving my crazy, mostly because it's annoying not to mention embarrassing. I need a good shop to get the car checked out, and have the work done. I took it to my mechanic but it's pretty obvious that he's not doing a good job. Problem 2.....now that I can do the work thats needed, should i still keep the car with 174xxx miles or sell it, i'm not to sure that I'll get alot for it, with the small rust spots and milage. Basically i'm looking for a good shop to take it too in the new york area pref. in queens, and should I sell the car ?

174K is nothing on a bulletproof motor like yours. Look at it this way, would you rather fix yours and know its a good car OR sell it and blindly get yourself into another car thatll need work? My rule of thumb is i rather upkeep and drive whats mine then short-cut, sell and get into another headache.

Thanks man, I found a place closer to come, that has seemed to identify the problem as a bad balljoint. Know of anyone selling coils at a decent(college) price lol ?

Hmmmmm, I don't know how long the motor will last...i know surely 200k but I've never known anyone personally to have higher then 200k on a 2jz motor, but I'm pretty undecided if I wanna get coils, because i'm on springs, but I wanna to lower for the summer....if you know anyone selling them at a great price let me know.

Should do maintanace first then start modding. But squeeking is a sign of ball joints, do them asap.

Man wish my parents gave me a Lexus when I was a college student! LOL

Check your ball joints and your power steering fluid. The power steering may need a flush but check the ball joints as soon as possible. Don't sit on it
