Default Another squeaks and clunks sounds thread..

...seems like there's a lot of these on here but unfortunately I can't to seem to find info that would help me.

Since couple months ago my car has been doing strange noises from the driver side front wheel area when I'm turning or going over bumps slowly. At first it sounded like the rubbing screech from when a spring rubs on rubber, then the clunky sounds begun. Quite embarrassing when passengers in the car. Oddly, it sort of goes away or gets worse when the weather changes (so I think, maybe it's just in my head).

The last couple nights I've driven it, there has been times when I'm at a red light and when I take off this loud clunk can be heard from under the car around my pedals/feet.

I took off the wheel and everything seems ok to the eye. Nothing noticeable. Is it the LCA's bushings? Any recommendations on how to check them?

Thanks in advance.

I actually have the same problem except for on the passenger side. In cold weather it was minimal, then is 60 to 70 degree weather it was worse. Now that we are wavering 80-90 degree weather, it seemed to have gone away. I haven't had it checked out yet but have been told possibly a UPA bushing or something similar. Keep us updated as you get more information!

Yeah saw your post too. I think what I'm going to start doing is removing bushings and inspecting them even closer to see if they're cracked. If they look fine maybe try some lithium grease on them, been seeing that solves a lot of peoples problems.

I've been told about the hood stoppers couple times but I just know this is a bit more serious than that. The LCA rear bushing is only about $60 so I'll probably start replacing that.

Yeah I was wanting to take similar steps to narrow down the culprit but haven't had time lately. Any further developments you come up with will definitely at least point me in the right direction!
