powder coat them gunmetal, keep the chrome lip and call it a day

I like the Wald wheel better.... just my opinion.... Clean wheels though

No wait guys. I'm not gonna buy MB wheels but i want to chrome the Wald wheels.

I'd leave them. The chrome is too much, but not OEM. IIRC in europe there was a few variants of those AMG's, the 2 piece, in 17 & 18" and the same in a one-piece wheel. None of those came stock chrome [again, IIRC].

A machined WALD face with the chrome would be dope though...
