Default Anyone removed e-shift buttons from steering wheel?

Just wondering if anyone knows how the buttons are attached to the steering wheel?

I got a wood wheel without e-shift a while back and just realized I know a guy who does leather work. If I could remove the e-shift buttons and easily put them in the wood wheel I'm thinking he could re-wrap it for me pretty easily at virtually no cost.

Anyone know how possible this is before I think about tearing apart my old wheel?

Whats good Kyle, unfortunatly I've done this a million times. The buttons pop in and out no problem. They are ferfectly fitted so no glue or screw was necessary. Just use something pointy with a tapped tip to pry out the button. The tape is to help limit the risk of scratching the button.

Nice, that's what I was hoping to hear! I'm sure I could find a way to secure them in the other wheel, now to talk to my uncle and see if he can wrap a steering wheel, maybe some nice perforated leather while were at it.

Lee, got some time now, I've been good, back on here and thinking about the car a little more now that winters here and things are slower. Hope you're doing well!

Yo PM your number again. O don't forget the plastic around the button and the button pop out together. So dont pry at the button, pry at the outer plastic.
