Wierd stalling problem
Ok so I just replaced my starter last week because the solenoid fried out. Everything has been going well but now I have a problem that has me on the verge of junking this POS.
So I went to start it this morning and the battery was dead. I jump it and for some reason its stalling when I put it in Park or Neutral after its been in gear.
So park to reverse is fine.
Reverse to neutral or park stall
Start in neutral to drive fine
Drive back to neutral stall
The other thing I noticed is my cluster lights and gauges are not working until its in gear. As soon as it stalls they instantly go back out.
It's also having a hard time starting, when I turn the key its starts with fast clicks like when the battery is almost dead. But if I jump the starter at the relay it starts up fine. One last thing before it did before I quit is I went to start it and the starter stayed engaged even after I pulled the key out of the ignition.
I'm starting to wonder if the problems are all related to the ignition switch... anyone have any ideas or experience with this. This car is just starting to give me too many problems lately and it only has 126k!
