auto window problem makes no sense 98' gs 400
I cant figure out why on my gs on the front passenger window if i roll the window up by fully clicking the lever up using the auto option the window will roll up automatically all the way as supposed to but then rolls down about of the third of the way after any help let me know ..........please

damit i just went outside and gave it a try it does what u say which is a cool little feature of the gs how the windows roll down wit the hold of the key but on my passenger side still it goes all the way up then will roll down about 1/3 of the way

Try, rolling it up then when its about to get to the top, push upward on the window at the same time and see if it stays. if it does, then there may be something on the track that is making it retract. I have that problem with my sunroof and when I do it by hand, it stays closed.

pinch sensor, something might be caught in the guide.
its basically a safety feature to prevent fingers or arms being caught.
take off inside door panel, and see if there is anyway to look at the guides. i had the same thing happen to before, from an audio install. they screwed in my cross overs onto my door, the screw was a tad long and caught something related to the window track. took out the screws and zap strapped everything, problem solved.
