Windows keeps rolling back down
Hi everyone. I replaced the front passenger window motor because it slowly died off and would no longer roll up or down. Fixed it and it works, yay! Now when I try to roll the window up using the auto function, it rolls up about 1/4 of the way, then rolls back down. The only way to roll it up is to hold the up switch until it is fully rolled up, and then release the switch.
I tried the motor reset by
1) turning key position to on
2) rolling window half way down
3) holding auto up switch until fully rolled up and proceeded to hold for 12 seconds
It works fine, but when I crank my car on and its running, then I roll it down and try to roll it back up, the problem above happens.

Did you personally extract and replace the window motor?
Did you replace it with new OEM, used OEM or aftermarket?
Did you clean, inspect and lubricate the window gears, window track guide bearings (replace if worn), window lift mechanism pivot points and condition the window seals?
This would require yellow body grease, rubber conditioner (Shin etsu)and special track lubricant...all available from Lexus

-Yes
-No it was not OEM. It was this part on Amazon. Here is the link:
-Kind of. Everything looked fine and worked as it should. After I replaced the window motor, it worked flawlessly for about 2 weeks, than started to have this problem.
Although now that I think about it, every time I rolled up the window, there was always a little screech that sounded like a bolt was screwed in too far, and was rubbing against the glass as it went up. However the window still functioned 100% normally. Also, there were a handful of times where the window operated as it should, with the auto-up function actually rolling it up all the way, and staying up.

Locate a new or used OEM motor...or have your old one rebuilt at a motor shop.
Some reference images to review in consideration of areas requiring lubrication.
Important to use the correct product.
I used that same part on mine a few weeks ago and had the same issue.

No it's nothing to do with that, you just need to reset the safety on the motor.

I found when using the Amazon part that if when assembling the motor to the regulator is to move the teeth on the regulator down before setting motor that way the regulator won't hit the window lip on the inside and roll back down.
