Hey guys quick question. My sprayers clogged on my 98 Lexus gs300 , and I browsed through threads to find some info on how to remove/clean them. I found a thread that is 5 years old? and posted a reply but not sure if I'll get an answer, so I decided to make my own thread.
One guy talked about how all Lexus models are similar with the sprayers ( or their removement). He talked about how u slide a business card under it and push so it pops out. So my question is that if this is actually true and if the sprayer is connected to anything or it's just a pop-in (like a plastic clip or something). Oh and by the way I tried the needle and it broke inside so I have to remove both sprayers regardless.
Anyone has any info for me??

Yes they'll pop right out. One of mine was clogged, so I opted to buy a new one from Sewell.

take any detail spray and saturate them from the outside. give it a minute to soak and then take a toothbrush or a small paintbrush and brush them out. try them out and repeat if necessary. done this several times with great results. it is a pop in there are small tabs on the front and back of them under the sheet metal

How about re-aiming them?

no i think most including myself would prefer you bump a old thread first just give them time to answer....and make sure its in the right section lol

as tony said scrub them clean OR disconnect them and if you have some line and a air compressor blow them out or pop them out and soak them in a cleaning agent then blow them out with a aerosol can or something

Yea I didn't know I can bump the threads. This is a first time I join forums for extra help with my car. But thanks for the info. I might have to order new sprayers, because whoever had this car previosly b4 me did a bad paint job ( didn't tape the sprayers ), so they r clogged. Any suggestions on where to order? eBay perhaps? Or is there a solution that would dissolve the paint ?? Sakataj - by blowing them out u mean dissconecting them from the pump, and blow through the little hose?

Try calling Sewell lexus. They should be able to help you out.

I have inserted a needle into them for leverage and aimed them by moving the needle.

no, i mean undo the underhood insulation and disconnect the hoses from the actual squirters and then clean them and take a aerosol can and blow air through them....you might check with the dealership. when i needed them on my es300 they were color matched and cheap so i bought new ones instead of messing with them

be careful putting a needle in them, this is why i had to replace them on my es300....i used a needle and punctured the sides of the squirters and they didnt spray right after that.

OP if u need to re-aim them when you have the under-hood insulation off remove them and re-aim them

Yeah you're right you have to be careful. I think on another car I broke the needle in the squirter. I think eventually the broken piece rusted away, but you still need to be careful.

a needle would work great for cleaning the squirters... i'm gonna try a thumb tack next time though
