over here etehnol is only in the e10 (91 ron) the 95 and v-power dont have it. i found a huge difference with the saab i had before the gs, it ran realy bad on the other brands in town. was only running 98 in it, but it ran smooth with good power when using v-power. with the lexus designed to run on the fuel you get over there i get little to no difference in millage no matter if using v-power or regular 91(not e10)

Shell was actually the cheapest around yesterday. If anyone here has an iPhone or iPod Touch, I highly recommend that you get the Gas Buddy app. Shows the prices at gas stations local to you. It's free too!

Are you for real, this is like praying for good health and giving the credit to ??? when it all works out. It's all in your head. Pump gas is pump gas given the same octane unless one has been oxygenated. A slow O2 would cause mileage to suffer but you would throw a code. You ecu will do whatever it needs to run at stoich at cruise. One gas does not contain more energy than another, atleast nothing you will notice. It's not nitromethane.

Hummm yeah I know that prices vary across the board, but I figured the 'premium' for premium was usually about the same countrywide. Guess not. Will fill up soon at Shell soon and track my MPG.

EDIT: Filled up at Shell, 3.91 for premium, while the local Gate I usually fill up is 3.90. If the MPG goes up I'll be a shell user from now on .

Interesting because Gulf is the most expensive gas around in my town, they charge 4.59 for regular and down the road at sunoco, regular is 4.05 and premium is 4.25, so i guess it varies every where and it depends on who runs the place, SHell is the same price as Sunoco, however its a further drive

Yeah, I only use Shells VPower. It's 93 octane here, but the price isn't all that far off Sheetz price, so it's well priced. I still throw in fuel addatives here and there to combat the ethanol in the gas.

Going to and from school I average ~24 mpg, 10% city/90% hwy.

Shell gas is very good and on average it's about 18-25 cents more than what I pay for at Sunoco.

I'm soooo jealous of the MPG you are able to get on your cars. I normally get 12-16mpg if I am lucky. In New York, it doesn't matter if you fill up Mobile, BP, Shell, etc. Its all the same garbage. The secret that no one wants you to know is that most gas stations deplete their branded gasoline very quickly because of the high volume of consumers that fill up. I have seen popular gas stations using low quality gasoline just because they want to make an extra buck.

This is my reasoning. I fill up in the same gas station 2 days apart, for the same amount and do the same amount of driving. I only fill up with 93. Although my trips are short, mostly 2 miles in each direction to drive and pick up my girl, and about 15 miles to Staten island and back which I do every other day. If the gasoline is brand true, I can get 20mpg on the highway and about 15-16 in the city. If its not, I get anywhere between 8 to 10 miles to the gallon. Thats a very significant difference!

If driving late at night to some of the popular 24 hour gas stations that we have here in Brooklyn, I have noticed none brand name rigs supplying gasoline to the station. I know for a fact that companies advertise their gasoline by branding the gasoline trailer, so I know that somethings fishy.

So im just used to funny numbers. I love filling up outside of NYC though, the car drives just as it did when I got it.
