Default warning light on but everythings fine?

I have a 99 GS3 at 145k and when i was parking today that warning light that shows an orange car with like a light beam behind it just came on. I think that means a tail light, brake light or reverse light is bad right? Well I had my friend sit in the driver seat and press the brake and turn the lights on and off and all the lights were working perfectly fine. What could this mean?

It could be any light, not including the side markers I believe. Doesn't only apply for tails. Are you sure you don't have a bad brake light? One of the filaments might be burnt out but the other isn't.

Every light worked, even the side lights on the tails. Could it be a trunk light causing this? I reset the ecu by disconnecting the battery it was on, went off and then went back on and now is staying on. Is there anyway to turn the light off? Is it possible its a defective sensor or something?

Yes it could be a trunk light. Did you check your city lights up front?

Inside the high beam housing, there's a little bulb in there that isn't the actual high beam.

I think I found which one it is, on the brake light in the rear window there is about 5 lights that makes the horizontal strip, one of them was out.

I had same thing, and was gonna tell you to look for those on the 3rd center brake light, but you already got it...FYI the light bulb number in the manual didn't match what was actually there, I had to take one out and take it to the parts store to get it right.

I recently put LED's in my license plate and i still get bulb out code..i heard LED's use less wattage so the warning system doesn't recognize the bulb being there

Mmm that's weird, I had the same problem a while ago, but instead of the orange warning light I got the red "parking brake" warning light...

My brake warning light comes on from time to time. Brake fluid levels are fine. What does this mean?
