To me, you can clearly see the silver, especially in the final picture. I believe it's tough to see in the first picture because of the angle and glare.

sphereman, the shift buttons only come on the GS300 now. When Lexus switched from the GS400 to the GS430 in 2001, they got rid of the manual shift buttons and added them to the GS300.

Lightbulb hey

Hey I just got my order in today for the 03GS430 & The dealers couldn't tell me if it was gonna have Perforated leather seats. By the way if you never had perforated leather seats then you don'tknow what your missing. Beccause they are really nice, They add a very sporty look to the interior of the car. Well , they first said absolutely NO. to perforated seats. Then I told them that on Club Lexus they said that it would. The salesguy looks at me like I know something they don't. I'll talk to my manager. I love when you go to the dealership ask a simple question & you get the famous " I'm not sure Let me talk to the manager" crap!
How much for the car? (LEmme talk...........) OH boy.....here we go again. Well I look in the damn 03gs book It says on page 3 & 35 INterior trim on GS430 Perforated leather trim,GS300 optional.
They say that you can't go by the info. book cus. there are many misprints. HUH? Any the manager comes over & says that the invoice order sheet just says leather not perforated leather.
Looks like I'm gonna have to wait till she comes in to see. That is friggin lame..

Paul

I've seen perf. leather seats at my dealer in the show room floor.
Don't remember if it was a 300 or 430.

Saw it in black. It does look good.

Any other value besides looks?

Yes, when you condition the seats all of those little holes catch the conditioner, making it nice and sloppy.

The latest Oct '02 Motor Trend (page 92) says the 2003 GS430 "now adds perforated leather seats with heaters as standard and a redesigned 17" wheel option".

Hope this helps.

I got perforated leather in my 300 SD.. It looks nice and it "breaths" easier... Whatever.... I don't like them anymore.. I'm starting to have stuffing from the inside of the seats coming out of the little holes...
