Long story short.. my wife decided to pull the rug from under me today... and now we are "REGROUPING." Anyways, now she seems to think perhaps it's better to wait for the 2003's to come out...
Does anyone know of any changed planned on the GS430 for the 2003 MY? I have searched everywhere and have found zero info on it. Would be nice if they offered a "sport" package of sorts... but we'll see.
i am in the same shoes as you. i am also debating what to get. i dropped by my local dealers and found out they have very few 2002 gs's left for sale. the salesman told me 2003 models will come out sometimes next month. as for changes, he said 2003 will be a carry over from 2002. only changes might be color choices. price wise, 03's price will either be the same or about 1 to 2% over the 02 msrp.
value wise, i think it might be better to get a 02 model because many dealers are agressively trying to get rid of their 02 inventory. when the 03 model come out, you might not get as much of a saving as an 02 model.
i am shopping; hope to get one soon!! good luck with your new car shopping too.
if anyone has more information, please share with us! thanks in advance.
I was really shocked to see my dealer advertise 2002 GS300's for 3000 down, 450 a month for 51 months but give us a totally different price if you go in. We were quoted 0 down, 530+tax a month for 36/39 month for a loaded GS300 Sportsdesign......Thats a damn good price IMHO.
They have a lease special going on right now through Lexus Financial Services on 2002 GS300s. Here in NY I was quoted $550/month (which includes 8.5% tax on Long Island) on a 2002 GS300 Sports Design. Of course I had to have the Sports Design with Nav and Mark Levinson which drastically increased the price per month because Lexus Financial Services has a lower residual percentage on cars with Nav. Cars without Nav have a 55% residual and cars with Nav have a 53% residual so you have to finance a larger percentage of depreciation plus the additional cost of the Nav and all the stuff that comes in the package. Most places quoted me in the high 600s and even some in low 700s which was such a joke.
