Another thing: Is there a way to limit the cars tires so they can only move like 2 or 3 feet? That way, after the thief has tried to move the car onto the flatbed, it just wont move? This seems like the most theft deferent thing, no?

Hey Too,

Yes it does cut the fuel off completely. You can install one of those vending machine type keys to your switch, but why when there are so many hiding places? IMO, if you hide it where they would not expect it to be, then you shouldn't have any problems. I haven't heard of any wheel locking mechanisms, unless you get one of those so called "boots" put on the car. Just imagine though, putting that bulky thing on and off every where you went. I hope this helps.....

In NY I heard they get a whole bunch of guys and just lift your car up and haul it away in a truck. Many Years ago I sold to car repo companies. They told me they can even find the Lo Jack without problem very quickly. If a professional wants your car he is going to get it. Save your money and invest it some where else. Don't make the car alarm companies rich. Besides the thief's have the same equipment that the car alarm companies use. BMW does have better locks on the doors than our GS. The BMW door locks can be deadbolt locked and very hard to pick.

Ceoart,

This maybe true and all, but my suggestion was a fuel cut-off switch. How would a professional know that's what's causing the car not to start? Even after he figured it out, where would he know to go look for the switch? Crooks/Professionals want to get in and get out, time is not on there side, so you make it just a little harder for them to take your vehicle away. I strongly agree, if they want your vehicle, they're going to get it, but for me I'm not going to let you take just like that!

Do you think places like this will buy stolen parts to repair the damage? Could happen but I think I have a better chance of winning the Lottery. How many people here have gotten their car Stolen and stripped? I bet not to many. Even so, I bet they did not strip the car to much. The thief's are going to steal cars that they can bring to a chop shop and get quick money for like a Mustang.
I dont understand your point at all. you are really not helping your point by this post you made. your post did not define why you think our lexus are limited production.

The reason why people dont go out stealing Lexus cars and stripping them the way Hondas get stripped is because the need for parts are not so high. Lexus builds quality cars, not cars that require new pieces every month.

As for the fuel cuttoff, as soon as they find the swich, the car is theres. What i meant was something that keeps the car in park, so the wheels cannot be moved. but thanks

I once saw a car being towed with the wheels turned all the way. The Tow truck driver just dragged the car down the block! I am sure it was bad for the tires  Again the non pros are going to have a hard time stealing your car even with the factory set up. The Pros will just tow your car away and take their time removing all your alarm equipment. Just get extra insurance for all the things you added onto your car like wheels. Do you remember the steering wheel lock "The Club"? I new more than ten years ago all you had to do was cut the steering wheel and the club slips right off! (The steering wheel is really easy to cut with a hack saw). I used to sell to the Locksmiths and repo guys they told me how easy it is for someone to steal a car. If you want a false sense of security go ahead and put a $1000.00 into an alarm system. Our GS is near the bottom of the list in cars that get stolen. If you get an aftermarket alarm system and it starts to go bad you will stall out and have all sorts of electrical problems.
