Default Yet another question?

What's up guys I'm in a pickle and I need some help. About two months ago I did the bushings on my gs with the Daizen bushings and I'm guessing it's the cold weather that's affecting it but everytime I go over a bump in the road I hear a squeaking noise. I took my car to my friends shop and he said it's the bushings. What can I do to stop the squeaking noise?

When you did the bushings, did you make sure to put enough grease?

Possibly, if I didn't I guess I would have to take them out again to "re grease" them ?

Maybe another member can chime in on this, but Isn't there a very thin penetrating oil in a can that can be used?

The name is slipping my mind right now. I believe it comes in a somewhat yellow can.

I looked this up...
3-1 lubricant spray.

http://www.amazon.com/3--10041-Silic...1992236&sr=1-1

If you don't decide to get this, make sure whatever you get is a silicone lubricant(recomended..but other lube oils will be fine), and does not have any solvent properties.(Examples of what to stay away from: WD-40, liquid wrench,PB Blaster.)
Most Penetrating oils have solvents within them to break up rusted or stuck/sticking metal to metal parts. I would not recommend these on Rubber/Polyurethane bushings at all.

Also read the can thoroughly before you buy.

thanks Kene, i'm going to try it tonight! If anyone else has another idea that would help out, i greatly appreciate it. Or is there a different brand of bushings that would correct the problem ?

when you bought the bushings, did it come with some "off-whitish" looking grease? If no than that would have been the type of grease you would have wanted to use. Personally, pressing them out to properly grease them would be a pain in the **** for me to do(laziness), but if you want to you can try. I would keep this in mind though, that taking them out may tear them or screw them up in the process. Since they are in I would use that silicone spray, and future reference for anyone who may read this thread years from now, if you didn't get the white grease packets(looks like white Vaseline) with your bushings, you can just buy some silicone grease from autozone or your local auto store. And if you come across lithium grease get that instead. It is supposed to hold up much better to the elements for a much longer period of time.

i'm def gonna try it today, I have the time, finals are killing me! lol, but yeah i found some of the grease that came with the bushings, but it's hard to put it on the bushings with out taking it out. I'm just going to buy the Silicone Spray Lubricant from autozone. =D thanks for the help. I hope that it stops the squeaking noise, it's really loud and annoying

Report back on how this works for you. I'm having the same issue. I did my bushing about 6 months ago and with the recent cold snap in FL they have been making a lot of noise when going over bumps.
