Default Need help on rim offset

Hi,

I contacted Vivid Racing today on a price quote for a set of rear rims only. I told them that I wanted the Work Schwertz SC1 with more aggressive sizing but be able to run on 275/35/18 tires and hoping of not getting into any fender work. They offered me a 18x10.5 rear with a +20 offset. Will that work rub on the GS and how good does it look is it going to be a big lip? BTW, my current SC1 is a 18x10 rear with +38 offset. I don't have a clue about these wheel sizing please give me some opinions. Thanks!

How low are you? i can say it will rub with no fender work. In order for this setup to work is to shave the rear fender and get a set of 245/30 so it's stretched.

I'm just on H&R springs...but I've asked before and I thought stretching tires when I'm not low enough is silly?

with a +20 offset on 10.5 rim will stick out a bit. It will not look right if it's not dumped.

what if i stay with a 10 rim with the same +20 offset? or can you suggest me to a better size? I'm not sure if I'll ever go really low but i do want a more aggressive wheel while looking right

what's wrong with your current setup? +38 seems good without any fender mods. any pics of your current ride?

If your offset goes lower, you're going to need to mod your fenders.

I'm just trying to achieve a nicer look like those vip cars with those nice wheels but yet don't want to drop too low for DD...right now my rims don't have much of a lip...and I also want to replace them bucause they;re already corroded by winter salt and one rim was damaged by chemical after service at a lexus dealer...anyways here is a pic...

I'm currently running Work XD9's, 18x10's +18 with 265/35's. I'm lowered on Tein Stech's, Sage RCA's, and Bilstein HD's so I'm a little lower, but you get the idea of about where you'd be. The only difference is that I had my rears pullled. My car is not super low, but has a decent ride height and I do not rub at all in the back. Of course, with a 18x10.5 +20 you'll be 4mm closer to the fender than me, but this should give you a little bit of an idea. Sorry for the crappy point and shoot pics, but I hope this helps:
