I just noticed today that I have some condensation inside my passenger side headlight. Has anyone else had this problem. Would the dealership fix this under warranty. I have a 2000 GS400 with 27k miles so I am sure it is under some warranty. Either the originally factory warranty or the CPO warranty. Any input would be appreciated. I am going to call the dealership here in Charlotte tomorrow.
By the way, I've PM'd you a number of times about Charlotte meets, not sure if you ever get them? You still in the neighborhood - your GS is white, right?
Warranty should cover it...if you're cool with some of the guys there, get them to order you a set of 2001+ lights...they have a slight green/blue tint to them...
One thing I have noticed is that on the 98-00 headlamp assembly the seal is pretty week and moisture can get in pretty quick. I recently purchased a set of 02 headlamps (case only) and swaped out my HID's (bulb, ballast and component's)
I inspected and compared both headlamps. On the 01-02 headlamps, Lexus put a better rubber (gummy) seal around the whole housing assembly which does not exist on the 98-00 models. I guess that too many off these were being repaired under warranty so on the new 430 models they fixed this problem.
I spoke with the dealership and they can fix it under warranty. Hey Dave. I'm still in the area. I am always working though. I am a real estate agent for Coldwell Bankers in the University area. It keeps me running a lot. I will try to make the next meet though. If anyone needs any real estate advice let me know. I can refer folks all over the country and get a referrel fee. I of course am more than happy to answer any questions for CL members for free.
