Default Car Shaking While Reversing

So when reversing at a slow speed, the car shakes back and forth a lot. It only happens in a slow reverse, no problem with Drive, or Reversing quickly. Have any of you guys experienced this or know what might cause this to happen?

Uneven worned brakes or slighly warped rotors or caliper pins stuck.

I had this same problem myself. After changing rotors and brakes it was gone. I used up the last of the life of my rotors and brakes lol

I doubt if the brakes would do that, but if it was, the test would be to do some left foot braking when reversing, this will provide feedback to your left foot via the pedal if the brakes were a problem.

I would check your ATF level first.

I'll check these reasons once I get some time too. Been busy lately and just wanted some insight on what to check.

sounds more like the transmission is jerking the car since he said forwards and backwards.

i have this same problem. i have an 05 gs300. took it to my local dealership, flushed the trans and no fix. eventually got them to replace my trans(no cost) and still no fix. long story short, i still have the problem and lexus said that they dont know whats wrong and are not willing to do anything else. i just have to live with it(the same thing as telling me tough s#!t.) i've given up, as no one has been able to give me an answer. if you find a fix, let me know.

I also had this issue. Warped rotors was the cause.

im no expert, but wouldn't warped rotors make the car shudder in forward and reverse? i also had all four brakes done after i noticed the problem, so i'm ruling out that possibility. any experts on oahu willing to try and figure out whats going on?
