Default Question/Advice on Front End Rebuild

I'm slowly gathering parts to rebuild my entire front end since some of the parts are beginning to show wear (ball joints, tie rods, daizen bushings, control arms, etc). And because im ****...

I'm considering picking up the SPC upper arms that are in the F/S section right now, not because i need the adjustability, but because its a good deal versus buying new from Toyota.

Keeping in mind that the car will be at stock ride height/stock suspension for quite some time(family reasons), i have two questions that hopefully can get answered...

1) Are the SPC upper control arms a good alternative to OEM Toyota control arms as far as build quality and longevity are concerned?

2) Since i have already purchased the Daizen control arm bushing kit, will these bushings work with the SPC arms for sake of matching as many bushings as i can, or is the size/design different? I have personally never seen an SPC arm nor have i known anyone that has owned one, so maybe someone can shed some light on this...

As of now my suspension overhaul plans include: upper control arms, inner and outer tie rods, lower ball joints, Daizen control arm, steering rack, and sway bar bushings kits, and sway bar end links, followed by an alignment. Anyone recommend replacing anything else while im at it??

Any comments/suggestions/opinions will be greatly appreciated. I'm still new to this car, just trying to do my homework and buy all the right things, and buy them only once...

Thanks everyone!

spc are just as noisy as stock arms with daizen bushings.

i'd definitely get them over stock ones if my stock joint gave out.

Very good thread OP I'll be keeping an eye out for FIGS' upper control arms...i'll probably stay away from the spc's b/c of the noise factor. I really don't want to spend $650 from sewell on the control arms I'm trying to keep everything OEM as much as possible.

I've got the SPC upper control arms as well as the control arms bushings from Daizen on my GS3. I've been beating on the car a lot since the installation of these parts and so far I have not experienced any noise or abnormalities.

For the guys that experienced noise from the SPC arms, how many miles have you guys got on them and when did the noise starts?

I just recently installed the SPC uca, and a used set for rear camber adjustment. So far no noise, steering and handling is nice and tight. I went with SPCs because I'm running an L-tuned staggered setup, and was getting tired of buring through tires because I could never get my alignment in spec.

I love the adjustability they offer, and the feel. Alignment is perfect!! I've only got a few hundred miles on them so far.

Side note: I don't have any Daizens installed, but was thinking about putting them into my steering rack. No need anywhere else. I like smooth and quiet.
