Not very stable at high speeds

Not very stable at high speeds
It seems like the car likes to go in different directions on its own at high speeds sometimes following creases in the road. There is no play in the steering and there is no issue with alignment. What will make it more stable aside from a drop or strut bars? Its a bit less stable than my last car and maybe it just takes some time getting use to it.

I feel ya. I didnt like how this car was on the highway at all. Especially the creases in the road. But Ive gotten use to the ride now.
I put in Eibach springs with KYB along with a lot of other suspension work and it handles so much better.
I wish I could grab some Daizen bushing tho.

I have the same issues and currently own a 99 gs400 160k miles. I have replaced the following, Lower BJs, upper ctrl arms with adjustable ctrl arms, new bilstein sp shocks, df210 springs, and currently awaiting TRD sway bars. My alignment is spot on atm, I’m thinking it is the sway bar bushings, I will update after the TRD sway bars installation.

Springs/struts made the biggest diff. More stiff with a little drop.
I replaced both ball joints, tie rods, upper control arms, wheel hubs, sway links, sway bushings, bearings, I need to replace the caster arms and RR axle.
Also lots of alignments!!!!

here's a good read on tramlining (aka steering wheel following grooves and cracks on the road)

those of us with stretched tires would know about this

Hmm I did a lot of the same things as you then. With the exception of the upper control arms. Those things are EXPENSIVE Are they worth replacing, especially since my car only has 75k?? That d@mn noise is still there though even after all the replaced parts.. very disappointed
That's funny I put on a set of 3GS 18s from my original 16s and I actually developed this problem! Although I think I know exactly why this happened.. the 18s are original stock off a 450h that came with runflats. Let me tell you if anyone has runflats, get rid of them! Biggest POSes ever invented. Unless your car absolutely can't carry a spare, do not even think about them. $350+ a piece and your car will drive like a tank along with every groove in the road steering the car!

I should say, the noise is MOSTLY a creak, some smaller pops in there but overall a loud creak. Here's something new I found just now doing a test run: when replicating the noise I found as Im pulling to the left and braking, the noise is coming from the right side of the car. As Im pulling to the right, it shifts to the front left side. Is this any help?
