Default Newest MOD is.....

My newset MOD:

L-Tuned steering ECU:

I absolutely love it. I got it from a fellow member off CL and let me tell you, a very good MOD for the $$$. The slack on the steering wheel is completely gone. It ALMOST feels like my moms Audi. Very close. I figured I'd let you all know who are debating this MOD, GO FOR IT.
Haven't found any CONS yet.

BTW it took me about 20 mins for install. You need 10mm Socket and philips head screwdriver.

OK, cheap shot before... (like shooting fish in a barrel)... you post 9 times a day and you MUST have read posts about the steering ECU????????

The replacement ECU makes the steering feel tighter and more precise.

Lexus (www.l-tuned.com) says the ECU is a good idea to go with their springs/shocks upgrade, but it's noticable even on the stock setup.

Judging by his previous posts, I don't think he actually reads anything...just posts for the hell of it or to up post count

Hopefully, I can test drive someones car that has the Ltuned steering ECU at next Saturday's BBQ...I have been reluctent to get it because of the controversy as to whether it is the same as stock ECU on '01> 430's.

What I've been trying to find out (and no-one can tell me - not the people at L-Tuned, not the people at my dealer) - Is the "recalibrated steering" in my Sportdesign the same as the L-Tuned ECU?

There has been much debate on this board regarding this...from what I understand they share the same part number, but many say that they are calibrated differently This is why I want to compare for myself.

I put the L-Tuned Steering ECU in my GS430 and it changed the steering characteristics of the car, which leads me to believe the ECU is not the same as the stock one. There is no dead center with the wheel anymore, if you move it slightly, the wheels move. It feels more responsive as well compared to stock. From my observations, it was worth the $$$ and I would recommend it to others in a heartbeat. Just my 2 cents....
