Default Different side mirrors ??

Hi guys,

I was driving at night and noticed that the driver's side mirror is yellowish, whereas the passenger's side is greenish.

Are they supposed to be tinted differently?

Oh, and we're talking about a 99 GS300.

Cheers,

Yves

I have the same problem with mine. Mine were turning to like an ugly goldish color. of maybe it was just like that from factory. But you have a couples options.

You can go the JDM route and get the Toyota Crown blue wide angled mirror.
or you can get the these mirrors I picked up with built in turn signals

It's really weird, but how could sun damage affect one glass and not the other one?

Oh those with the integrated signals are nice!! But I just can't justify spending that much on mirrors given mine are still fully functional.

Well if you're driving south everyday to work in the morning (sun on driver side) and drive north everyday back home in the evening (sun still on driver side) then only one side of the car gets the sun and also if you park with that side facing the sun all the time idk, just to throw it out there...

Thanks for the link, Yakuza.

TypeII, my driver's side mirror is a wide-angle also. So maybe they only made brownish/yellowish wide-angle mirrors. (btw my GS is european spec)
