Default To our Supercharged fellas....

Have you guys considered rebuilding your tranny to handle more power? If I had to guess, I would say that the tranny would be the first thing to go in a GS putting down more than 450RWHP. Has anyone here done the SRT tranny rebuilt? (http://www.swiftracing.com/engine/tranny.htm) If so, how reliable/streetable is it?. I'm considering getting mine done and I have several choices so I am trying to make an educated decision.
Thanks in advance.

I'm going to be sending Mo a valve body to modify when I upgrade to stage III. I don't know what else they would modify on the transmission.

Hey Itsallgood, how do you like that SRT Stage II S/C kit? Any things you like about? dislikes? how was the install? Do you have any dyno #s? Once installed, was there any additional dyno tuning that you had to do? Guess you can see that I'm looking into possibly buyin that S/C kit.

I have the valve body upgrade, and am getting a couple of other upgrades to the transmission too.

MRGS400nSoCali - I posted a dyno with my SRT Stage II S/C. SRT Stage 2.5 supercharger Dyno. I am running chrome 19's, so take that into consideration. If I ran 17s or 16s, the dyno numbers would be greater. Moe tuned my car at his shop, and "found" additional HPs, about 20-35hp. You got any questions feel free.

Be very careful of the value that you place in what you hear.

FWIW: Level 10 is pretty well known as providing "built" transmissions. That's the connection. But I also agree that in the past I've read some not so good things on different forums about how that company has supposedly treated customers. Caveat Emptor.

My understanding is that typically when modding a trans to hold more power you'll use blue-printed parts, you might use upgraded parts made of "exotic" materials, potentially extra clutches, etc... etc...

Call Mo for specifics about what SRT does. I've been optimistic so far so I haven't asked yet.

Well, the reason why I decided not to mention Level10's "bulletproof" transmission upgrades (although they are 1 hour away from me) is becasue I've witnessed some of their work. On top of that, they had lots of bad feedback at supraforums with many horror stories to follow. Their price for a rebuilt tranny with a TC and installation is way too high. I've already spoke to Mo about the SRT tranny upgrade and several other shops, however, I wanted to get real life feedback from anyone who has already gone through this process. Just doing my homework.
