Default Finally back in the LEX

Hey guys i havent posted here in a while because i lost touch with my lexus for a while because i let my brother drive it. I had to replace the whole rear end in it form a 99 with about 45k miles that was destroyed in the front end because my rear end was clunking when accelerating. Drove perfect after that, then my brother hit it in the front bumper, fender, rear bumper, and the traction control wire that sits at the pass rear wheel was snapped and the traction control light came on and no more TC for me. A few days after that he slid in the snow and hit a curb where he destroyed the k member, lower control arms, tie rods, rack and pinion, oil pan, and the car ran like crap, to my surprise the insurance did not total it so everything on the 99 silver gs is getting fixed. No i will not let my brother drive it anymore lol, so now i will start modding this thing since my mustang and jeep are at some pretty decent looking stages.

Just trying to get back on the lexus mood, any ideas would be appreciated, as of right now its totally stock besides deleting the cats for straight pipes and a KN filter and an HID kit,

I was at the shop today and the front bumper was painted and boyyyy does it look sweet, the guy that paints the cars who works for my buddy is a genius and can do 20k dollar paint jobs he is so gifted so im really excited to get the lex back and wanted to share with you guys.

Sorry for not having any pics and for the extremely long post.

here is what it looked like before my brother took hold of it

I know the feeling. Word of advice, don't rush the bodyshop guy. What does a 20k paintjob look like?

No my buddy owns the body shop but a guy that works for him does the paint, they do beyond amazing work there, they only work on mercedes, lexus, bmw, cadillac and all high end cars for the Detroit Pistons players and people who have the funds, because its a body shop but they do customizing work as well so i am in good hands lol. Man a 20 thousand dollar paintjob is very common on some of the cars he has had come out of his shop and into the DUB shows here in Detroit.

This is where my focus has been lately for the past year

my 1997 mustang and my 2001 jeep cherokee, both awesome vehicles, but after working on my buddys 300C the other day and upgrading his brakes i have to get back into my luxury mobile and my brother can go buy a kia for all i care.

That stang sure looks sweet. Im still wonderin what can be so expensive, Paint or Labor for it to come out to 20k. Oh well, I won't worry about it. Did you keep the silver paint?

Oh i think you misunderstood me, i'm not getting that kind off a job on my ride, i'm just saying that the guy who is painting it does that kind of work.

Welcome back. Clean Mustang, I like the color matched tonneau cover but the Mach 1 lip looks kind of weird on it.

I like the lip on the Stang. She sits pretty.

Glad to see you're back with the Lexus though.

I like it in the first photo, but the second one makes it look funny because it doesn't run uniformly around the edges of the front bumper.

yeah nice lip on the stang. also, that could have been a figure of speech -- " the candy paint dripped as the haters stared, the job could have easily cost 20 grand " (some kind of urbandictionary.com entry lol) anyways, good to hear someone reigniting the mod flame ha
