Hey guys, just got my s techs in this morning. How much should i expect to pay to get these bad boys installed? What would you consider a good deal? Do i need to get an alignment after the install of just springs. Thanks for the help guys.
It's easy to take out your suspension. There's a few DIY thread. Should look into it. It might save you some $$$. I put my suspension on myself. It only took me an hour maybe hour and 30 mins.

How good are you with cars? I might be able to do it i just have a lack of tools. Im only 17, but that might be an option to save a bit of $$$
highly doubt it takes 30 minuets to do springs. When I did my bags, definitely didnt take 30mins to an hour for the bag install (which is the same job) the job is pretty cut and dry, remove the top 3 bolts of the strut and the one on the bottom to remove the strut, once its out you will need a spring compressor to remove the factory spring (you can get a spring compressor from harbor freight for like 10 bucks) once its off, reverse the process. For the fronts, its the same I had to remove my upper control arms to get it in there, but dont think you need to for spring install. If you have a lift, it will make things a world easier... Go to top of GS forum and find the sticky with all the links, in that link you'll find a link for all DIY's which includes this step by step install
I think i might be doing the install myself this weekend. Im going to stop by my friends shop and see what he will quote me at. And yes im running the springs with stock shocks for now. They should last me for a little while until i can purchase some coilovers . Thanks for the help guys. Any tips for the spring install??
Because your car may drop a bit lower afterwards. It happens to new springs. If you get an alignment right after the install and the springs happen to settle afterwards, your alignment will be off again.

Agree with BALIZTIK here. There's plenty of info here that the OP could have searched for that says its not recommended to use the stock struts with aftermarket springs.
I know its not the way to go with stock shocks. But for the time being it will have to work. The shop quoted me $300 which i think is too much. I am going to tackle this one myself. Unless theres anybody in socal interested in helping me out And for people that have done this, is it necessary to have an air compressor?
